Our company creates youth-oriented content based on original ideas that carry values and talk about the real world in an entertaining manner.
The team of Cinemira SquirrelProduction highly values the ideas and thoughts of children. Our goal is to produce content that speaks in an authentic way about themes and subjects that really matter to the audience.
We create original stories and also adaptations. So far we produced short films for children and youth and the lead producer of our company co-produced the multi-award winning “I accidentally wrote a book”.
In an unprecedented way, through Cinemira Junior Script Lab we directly involve the children’s and teens’ input all through the development process. From the very genesis of an idea all the way to the creation of the final screenplay, our professional screenwriters work alongside children.

Dancing on the square
The Budapest Festival Orchestra (BFO) is rated among the top ten orchestras in the world. Squirrel Film Productions made a short film for BFO to advertise their concert Dancing on the Square. Children from different parts of the country have learned the same dance choreography and performed it together on the Hero Square as part of the BFO concert.
Music is magic
The Budapest Festival Orchestra (BFO) is rated among the top ten orchestras in the world. The orchestra regularly performs at the most important concert venues of the international music scene. Squirrel Film Productions made a short film for BFO to advertise their concert called Picnic that was designed for children and families in a cultural park. The theme of the concert was music is magic.
I would return for a day
I would return for a day is a short animated documentary directed by Nora Lakos. Seven children, seven stories, one common tale. The film is about migrant children from different parts of the world who left behind their motherland and try to find new friends, a new home, new life in Budapest, Hungary. Creators used the children’s drawing for the animation.
Strangers in my garden
Strangers in my garden is a documentary film library for schools and teachers that helps to integrate documentary films into education. Squirrel Film Productions created a unoque short advertisement for them using video mapping technic as well.
CINEMIRA
Cinemira International Children’s and Teen Film Festival is the only film festival dedicated for the young audience in Hungary. Squirrel Film Productions made a short spot for Cinemira.
